We machine groom 60 km of track, covering varied terrain from flat beginning track to challenging advanced. All of our track is groomed for both classic and skating techniques. Yes, we rent skis, boots and poles as well as snowshoes, innertubes or a pulk to pull that youngster behind you as you ski. Stand among the frost covered trees and take in the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains. That will be your introduction to Brush Creek Ranch in the winter. After you're finished experiencing the scenery from the lodge, you might decide to take a tour of the snow ladden country on an all day dog sled ride. You'll not only experience the thrill of gliding behind the dogs, but you'll also hear how the ranch became the 6,000-acre cattle ranch that it is. You can also view the ranch on cross-country skis. Cut through aspen groves and sage meadows along historic pioneer trails. Or, if you prefer a little more of a challenge, you can ski through the Medicine Bow National Forest, which is adjacent to Brush Creek Ranch. In the national forest you can also take a daylong guided snowmobile tour. Brush Creek Ranch offers a variety of skiing and snowshoe terrain to our guests in the winter time. Trails range from a leisurely stroll through the meadows to a more challenging climb up the granite ridges through the Aspens. Snowshoes are available at the ranch for no additional charge and ski's can be rented locally for a nominal fee. |
