A seclusion that allows guests to leave their lifestyles behind and where you are encouraged to become part of the day-to-day life, which means helping with the chores, rounding up cattle or riding with the wrangler to look for strays. You can even join the ranch crew when they pack salt and protein to the cattle high in the mountains. The 120-year old ranch is rich in beautiful natural rock formations, wildlife and Indian lore. Cochise and his band of Apaches are said to have hidden in these mountains. Legend has it that Victorio the cousin of Cochise hid in the mountains and obtained water for his tribe from the very spring that still supplies the ranch. They knew where the spring was located, but the US Army couldn't find it, allowing the Indians to stay hidden in the secret ancient cave complex. Take a ride to these ancient Indian caves, the old mines or to the natural spring and imagine what it must have been like to be here over 120 years ago in an untamed land. | |

| In the late seventeenth century, the fertile Altar valley was settled by Spanish Jesuits. Father Eusebio Francisco Kino and his followers, built a mission outpost on the Ranch. Still standing, this rare historic adobe structure is reputed to be the second oldest building in Arizona. Today it serves as a peaceful gathering place for our guests to mingle and relax. Rancho de la Osa, or Ranch of the "She Bear," is one of the last great Spanish Haciendas still standing in America. During the Mexican Revolution, Pancho Villa was said to have fired shots at the Hacienda. When you stay with us, you can hold a Mexican cannonball found in the stucco walls of the Hacienda dining room. Typically, the sun shines more than 300 days a year. At night, in our Zocalo, the stars twinkle and shine with unmatched clarity from a coal black sky. Located in the high Sonoran Desert along the Mexican border, we are one hour from Tucson. We border the Buenos Aires National Wildlife refuge, where you can watch deer and antelope still roaming in herds. Nestled among huge eucalyptus trees, the gracious lifestyle of the Old Southwest is captured and treasured in the 1800's Hacienda. The White Stallion Ranch is located on 3,000 acres in the pristine Sonoran desert. The True family has owned and operated the ranch for the past 37 years. They have gained a reputation for highest quality of service and for producing truly memorable holiday experiences. The unique surrounding landscape provides a utopia for scenic horseback rides and more adventurous fast rides through the lower desert flat lands. The varied riding program includes walk rides, lope rides, breakfast rides, all day rides and team penning (a horse and cattle game done in the arena).
Every Saturday local cowboys and cowgirls put on an exhibition rodeo with steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, etc.
The ranch offers comfortable accommodations ranging from attractive single rooms to suites with whirlpool bath and fireplaces. The Spanish style buildings compliment the surrounding terrain. All 41 rooms have a southwest motif. Other amenities include a heated pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard and a recreation room. Aside from the horseback riding, there are several guided hikes each week and a variety of evening programs.
The meals are a highlight of the day starting off with a cooked to order ranch style breakfast. Lunch is typically served buffet style with a main entr e and an array of salads plus a sandwich platter. The dinners are too varied to name but a few of the favorites are all-you-can-eat ribs and chicken, a typical Mexican feast, or a delicious steak grilled over a mesquite fire. | Our ranch is 367acres surrounded by national Forest and the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area in Northern California and lies along Coffee Creek, an excellent trout fishing stream for natives! Stockers can be found in the Trinity River, East Fork or in the Coffee Creek Pond. We are located 72 miles NW of Redding, 8 miles above Trinity Lake. Coffee Creek has every imaginable dude ranch amenity, with the most popular still being horseback riding. The ranch breeds its own AQHA and Paints.Typically, two rides a day are scheduled, and rides are divided by ability level. Private lessons can also be scheduled. Breakfast rides are the most popular, with the all-day "wilderness" ride to a lake the most spectacular! For a unique riding experience, the all-day ride be extended into an overnight pack trip returning the next day. Hiking trips can be planned, and mountain bike trails parallel the Wilderness Area. Supervised summer youth programs are specially designed by age groups. Hunewill Guest Ranch is located just east of Yosemite National Park in the green, mountainous Bridgeport Valley of California. You'll love riding your horse through this 26,000 acre expanse of cool lush meadow, bordered by timbered peaks. The Hunewill Ranch was founded in 1861 by Napoleon Bonaparte Hunewill and his wife Esther. In the 1930's LeNore and Stanley Hunewill started the Hunewill Guest Ranch. Today Hunewill Ranch is still a working cattle ranch with 1200 cows and 120 horses,, as well as 60 sheep, 35 llamas and 4 pigs. Naturally, cattle work is something that you can participate in. There are several special cattle events that are featured during the year, such as a cattle working week, and a ranch roping clinic. The traditional fall cattle drive to the winter ranch 'in Nevada covers 60 miles. For a vacation experience suited to families, singles or couples you won't find a friendlier place. From our herd of 80 horses you will be assigned your own horse for the duration of your stay. We match the horse and rider according to ability, physical requirements and temperament, teaching you how to ride well and how to enjoy horseback riding as a life-long sport.

| We have excellent riding and fishing, along with fun kids' programs, evening activities, hiking, trap shooting and more. Our 18,000 sq. ft lodge remains one of the largest log buildings in the southwest, acres of verandah wrap around three sides with a spectacular view down to the river and horse pastures. Guest cabins vary in size and are scattered close by amongst the pines, ponderosas and aspen trees. We have a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub as well as horseshoe pits (a western game) and a volleyball/basketball court. The food is excellent and served family style in the main dining room, although we do have biweekly cookouts near the pool as well as down by the river. You will be matched with a horse according to your ability and each day we offer a variety of riding choices, as well as all-day rides, team-penning and other arena work. The fishing is blue ribbon and we have a mile and a half of private river as well as plenty of excellent fishing in the general area. This area is a series of mesas and canyons and is all the Roubideau Creek drainage. This allotment totals 75,000 acres and ranges in elevation from 5,700 ft. to 10,000 ft. above sea level. The Boyd s Ranch in the unique Roubideau Canyon area offers a variety of vacation opportunities. Our guests will be able to participate in the daily ranch activities and management of the cattle as they are moved to fresh pastures throughout the summer. | |

When the evenings get a bit cooler and the rivers run a little lower, the aspens start to gear up for a fall color extravaganza and the elk move back in. As these magical, natural events begin to happen, another magical event happens at Vista Verde - the ranch turns into an adult only playground. Just think, the kids are all back in school! You won't be bothered by phones ringing off the hook. The only traffic jam you'll run into is when the horses are being moved from one pasture to the next, and the biggest decision you'll have to make for a the day is whether you want to fish, horseback ride or go for a scenic hike.
